1. How do I know that I am getting the best product? CPFilms' Clear Distortion Free (CDF) adhesive technology is based on a chemistry that is quite different from traditional pressure-sensitive technology (PSA). In most ways, it is superior for the solar control film applications. The CDF adhesive has built its' backbone proprietary chemistry that is activatable by the installation solution. This allows it to be mounted with greater ease and "chemically" bond to the glass. This chemical bond is much more stable than specific or mechanical bonds, (such as the tacky, nature of the competitors' product) affording it durability and longevity. The Clear Distortion Free CDF polymer is much harder and has some crystallinity as opposed to the soft amorphous nature of the Pressure Sensitive Adhesive (PSA) that the competitive product uses. This allows our product to have more chemical and environmental resistance. The windows are easier to clean, and the film has longevity. CDF offers a chemistry that bonds directly to glass. This bonding system is more durable and reliable than mechanical bonding which is less resistant to environmental stress. 5. Will the window film kill my house plants? In most cases if the plant is already receiving adequate light, the use of window film will not harm it. New growth or flowering may be retarded, and for a few days the plant may go into a state of shock while it adjusts to the light change. Most nurseries or local agriculture agencies can advise you whether a particular plant needs closer to maximal or minimal light. There are also different types of film for various applications. 6. Will the film look dark or shiny? Yes and no. Yes, there are films that are dark and there are films that have a reflective finish. And no, not all films are designed to look that way.
